Medan Trip - Day 5 - Part 2

Day 5 - continued

There is a Crocodile Farm or what is called "Penangkaran Buaya" in Indonesian language. I have never visited the Crocodile Park in Singapore, so I guess, this would be quite a nice trip to make.

The entrance ticket per person was Rp.3000 only. The farm is managed by a Chinese, but I think it is not so well maintained as the place is rather dirty and smelly.

I saw a Penangkaran Buaya show in TPI sometime ago. The farm was well maintained, and they took care of the crocodiles from the time when they were egg - small crocodile - young adult - adult - married - shopping bag cycle and restaurant dish :).

Side note: Talking about Crocodile, all of us would remember the late Crocodile Hunter - Steve Irving, who died while making a documentary on stingray.

below are some of the pictures on the crocodiles there. Enjoy!

Crocodiles swimming in the swamp beside the farm

Giant crocodile, 35 years old

Three brothers/sisters in a small pool

say "Aaaaaah"... hmm you have bad breath

For some of you who think that the pictures are fake... this is a short video clip of the crocodiles.

Other than the crocodiles, thera are other animals in the farm as well. A few monkeys, a python, a wild boar. This is a picture of the baby monkey trying to feel the soft touch of other feminine primate :)

After feeling the soft touch, the baby monkey tries to steal my camera... :p

It was a busy day...
after the two visits, we continued with our classes. At night, we managed to catch the show "Enchanted" in one of the cinema, at Sun Plaza. It was nice and cheap, only Rp15000 per person, or 60k for 4 of us, the price of 1 ticket in Singapore :)

End of day 5...
