Easter Events 2008 in Bukit Batok - Easter Sunday

Finally, we arrived at the last installment of this Easter series of blogs.
I will post three postings here, one for the early morning Easter Sunday that we have, one for the Children's Easter celebration, and lastly for the Seaman and Maid fellowship's Easter.

Easter Sunday at BB @ 6 am

Why 6 am? I mean, it is supposed to be a holiday, and indeed it is a holy-day for us Christian, shouldn't we just enjoy the break and stay in bed a little longer? hehe....
well... it is all biblical you see, the Bible recorded that the women went to the tomb where Jesus was buried, and wanted to embalm Him. They go there early in the morning, being unable to complete the job on Saturday (the Sabath). It was them who first discovered Jesus' resurrection.

So, here we are, in a modern church, about 2000 years after that Sunday, and we try to get a feeling of going to witness Jesus' resurrection 'early' in the morning. Despite the fact, that there is no bus, no mrt, still many comes for this wonderful early morning Easter service

What's so special this time? we have the early morning baptism the first time in our church's history. I think it will be memorable for those who were baptized on this day.

well.. here are the pictures... I will try to explain as we move along..

These are 13 people in white, some are awaiting for baptism, some has just confirmed their faith after they reach adulthood. The fourth lady from the left is an Indonesian maid from the family of an Elder from English congregation. Praise God for giving her the chance to know God through her employment in Singapore.
