Project Khmer H.O.P.E. A St Andrew's Cathedral, Singapore project with the aim of alleviating poverty and creating sustainable livelihoods for Cambodians with social, economic and health disabilities Handbell Concert by the Hong Kong Youth Handbell Ensemble Date : 28th July 2007, Saturday. The Hong Kong Youth Handbell Ensemble was established in 2005. It is an audition group under the Hong Kong Handbell Academy, with ringers aged from 8 to 15. Its mission is to share with churches and schools the beautiful sound of handbells and the energy and fascinating movements in handbell ringing. In Aug 06, the ensemble made its first trip to participate in the 12th International Handbell Symposium in Brisbane, Australia, where its performance was well-received by handbell experts from the US and Canada. The ensemble has also given many performances on radio and television and at various occasions under the baton of Ms. Emily Li, who holds an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Music (Composition) from the Hong Kong Baptist University and Chinese University of Hong Kong respectively.

Come, join us for an evening of Handbell sacred music and familiar favourites!

A freewill offering will be taken after the concert, the proceeds of which will go to Project Khmer HOPE (Humanitarian Outreach for Peace on Earth), a non-governmental organisation set up in Cambodia by St Andrew’s Cathedral (Singapore) in 2000 to share God’s love with poor and needy Cambodians by meeting their economic and social needs.
